Welcome to The Trows Cognitive Hypnotherapy “It’s not the things that happen to us that matter, but what we make of them…” We are Simon and Chrissie, a husband and wife team, based in Tiverton, Devon, near to Exeter and Taunton. Because we are a husband and wife team we can give you the choice of a male or a female therapist, if you have a preference. In addition to our one-to-one sessions we jointly run workshops for NLP training, relationship coaching and post-traumatic stress disorder, see things we can help you with for more details on other issues we can work with.Our beliefs and values Our journey into hypnotherapy has developed from a career in working with people; we both have a background in health, social care, coaching and teaching as vocational trainers. Finding the key to self development is something we both feel very passionate about and one of the main things that fuel our enthusiasm for what we do is our interest in people. By recognising the differences in each one of us and using those individual differences to drive the changes from within ourselves to achieve our own personal solutions. Each one of us has the resources, but often we are unaware of how to tap into our own abilities. Using cognitive hypnotherapy we work with you to re-wire the thought processes that made up your problem and help you to reach the solution you want. Many people have many different ideas surrounding therapy and hypnosis. In Cognitive Hypnotherapy each session is developed individually – with no swinging watches – and no couch! We work at your pace, in partnership with you, discussing everything with you before we do it.Our Background Within our own journeys we have come to believe that Cognitive Hypnotherapy provides us with the tools and techniques to deal with the challenges that we go through. Between us we have a considerable range of life-experiences and also both been in previous marriages. Like everyone else, we have faced difficult times and issues that, looking back, we could have handled in a more positive way.More about Simon Simon’s specialisms include post traumatic stress disorder, smoking cessation and phobias. In addition to helping people with phobias and dealing with negative life events. As well as being a hypnotherapist, Chrissie works with people receiving social care services through ‘person centred planning’ and also teaches social care workers. Chrissie trained as a learning disability nurse and is a qualified further education teacher.Hypnotherapy Qualifications We both are qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapists (DipCHyp).
