Now you'll be surprised to hear that I cannot hypnotise you. What? This has to be the worst sales pitch you've ever heard! Let me explain. Hypnosis is an interaction between you and me. If you do not want to be hypnotised, I won't be able to. There are many misconceptions regarding hypnosis, which I will be happy to talk to you about. Hypnosis is a safe, fast and effective therapy and is fast becoming mainstream with the NHS utilizing this tool for anaesthesia, smoking cessation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, amongst others.
In a hypnotic state we bypass the critical thinking element of the conscious mind in order to change beliefs deeply rooted in the unconscious mind. Depending on your presenting issue I don't even need to know what the reason is for you coming to see me. So if there is something you don't feel comfortable talking about then please still get in touch, the language of the unconscious mind isn't always in the spoken word!
