My first experience of Hypnotherapy was over 15 years ago when it helped me to stop smoking. After several previous attempts through other means, it was the one that worked for me - in one session to boot!
And through my subsequent training, learning and application of Hypnotherapy, as well as my own life experience, I have witnessed the capacity of the mind to both make one as well, happy and confident as it has ill, sad and reclusive.
So as you look on this directory for a hypnotherapist, what are the criteria you should be looking for? For the most part, you will find considerable overlap between one therapist and the next in terms of our experience and answers to the issues you present. And if you set aside for a moment, geography and money, what are you left with?
As I see it, you are left with personality and compatibility. For Hypnotherapy is a highly personal experience, not only in your inner experience but also that of the relationship between you and your therapist. So my one piece of advice when you are "therapist-shopping" is to treat it just like that. Give a few of us a call and talk to us. Just as you form an impression of someone in the first few moments you see them, you can get a sense of someone's energy and spirit over the phone. Trust your instincts. For the more compatible your therapist is with you, then the more likely it is that you will have a positive, beneficial and productive experience.
@DanKronenberg Hi Dan - yes it is. Although as a photographer I think I should have something more "considered"
